OUtdoor Equipment
Bledule is built on a slope in a meadow, providing ample privacy. On the western side, there is a covered spacious terrace with a large table and a gas grill. Access to the terrace is directly from the kitchen. Firewood for the stone stove is prepared in the storage.
On the opposite side of the terrace, there is a shower and a bathing barrel with filtration, offering the option of a bubbly bath and multicolored lighting. The barrel comfortably accommodates 5 adults. The location of the bathing barrel provides a beautiful and intimate bathing experience, especially on clear nights under the starry sky. Additionally, two teak benches are available on the terrace, which can be used as needed, such as to increase seating capacity at the outdoor table. Wooden reclining chairs, four in total, can be used for sunbathing.
On the opposite side of the slope on the eastern side, behind a small grove, there is a fireplace with seating, also embedded in the slope. Here, you can cook meals in a cauldron, such as goulash, bean soup, and more. The cauldron has a volume of 25 liters and comes with the necessary accessories. If someone is interested, we can prepare goulash (beef) or bean soup with smoked meat in advance. From our own experience, we know that it's very convenient when you don't have to worry about food for the next day because cauldron soups can be eaten for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
TIPS And dining in the area
Roprachtice is a village located between the towns of Semily and Jilemnice. It takes less than 10 minutes to reach either of them by car. Both towns have supermarkets (LIDL, JIP), restaurants, and various city activities for spending free time, such as bowling and swimming pools. Closest to Roprachtice is the town of Vysoké nad Jizerou, where you can find an excellent pub, "U medvěda," on the square, as well as grocery stores, a confectionery, and more. In the winter, there are skiing facilities in Vysoké nad Jizerou, such as the Šachty ski resort and the children's ski lifts Metlák and Sklenařičák. About a 10-minute drive away, you'll find the Kamenec ski resort in Jablonec nad Jizerou.
In the vicinity of Roprachtice, there are numerous groomed cross-country skiing trails that you can easily access from Bledule when the snow conditions are favorable. Most of these trails pass by the Borovice Lookout Tower (www.uborovice.cz). The local meadows around Bledule were also used as filming locations for the famous Czech film "Krakonoš" and for skiers. The local church of the Holy Trinity and the adjacent rectory were used in the film "Zapomenuté světlo" (Forgotten Light).
Throughout the year, you can go on trips and hikes to the Krkonoše Mountains or Jizera Mountains. In the village of Poniklá, there is a museum, a shop, and a creative workshop for making decorations using the blown glass bead method (www.rautis.cz), as well as a museum of Krkonoše crafts (www.krkonose-muzeum.cz). Recently, Roprachtice opened its first local educational trail, "Vlček, který nekouše" (The Wolf Who Doesn't Bite), designed for everyone interested in learning about the history of the village.
